Pinewood Derby!!

Chase had his first Pinewood derby this week. He wanted a blue BYU car. His car did pretty good. Ron was happy, because it didn't fall apart and didn't come in last every time. I'm not sure where he placed, but I think it was between 5th and 10th place. There were about 30 cars, so that's not to bad. Good Job Chase!!

Spring Break in St. George

Ron made it to the end of Tax season!! Yeah! We started a tradition a few years ago to get out of town right after the 15th and go to St. George. It is a lot of fun and always a well needed break. We stay in a condo at Las Palmas in Green Valley. They are usually very nice and there is a lot to do there.

Ron went golfing the first morning and then we took off for the Red Cliffs to do some hiking. It was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect.

My nephew Todd and my Brother-in -law decided it would be fun to jump into this pool of water, even though it is freezing cold. We then headed over to Snow Canyon to play in the Sand dunes. The kids love to play in the sand and had a good time burying each other.

The next day we headed over to Zion's and hiked to the top of the Emerald pools. This hike was fun, but I think we were a little early in the season to see it at it's best.

We had a great time and enjoyed the time we spent together and with some of our extended family.

The stitches are out!

We went to the doctor Monday morning and had Chase's stitches taken out. He was very brave, but I think it did hurt more than we thought it was going to. So now we just wait for it to heal.

Chase likes to make a sad face for pictures where he is hurt.

Easter Weekend!

We had a busy Easter Weekend starting with a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. We had one for the preschool age kids on friday morning. They had a lot of fun and had plenty of candy since so many people were out of town for Spring Break. Brooklynn had to open each one of her eggs to see what was inside before she would find the next one.

This was a picture Easter morning after they looked for eggs around the house.

Sunday we went to the Stewart's for Dinner and an Egg hunt. We only have 3 kids that are still interested in hunting for eggs in Ron's family. So they had plenty of eggs to find. We love spending time with our family. The Naylor side didn't do anything this year because my parents are serving a mission in Florida. I did miss spending time with them this Easter.

Stitches!!!

I don't know how we have managed to escape having stitches until now, but we have now had our first experience with getting stitches. Chase was playing at recess and tripped going up the stairs on the playground. He hit his chin and split it open. He got 8 stitches and was very brave. He was more scared of the thought of getting stitches than the actual stitches themselves. I think the worst part for him was the smell of the ointment they put on him to help the bandages stick. We will post a picture of his cool scar when the stitches come out.

A little Update for those we don't see everyday!

I thought I better do a little update on the Stewart Family for those of you I haven't talked to recently. We are doing really good. We are still living in Pleasant Grove and have now been here for 5 years.

Ron is still working at Gilbert & Stewart CPA's in Provo and will have been with them for 10 years this May. He was made a partner 2 years ago and is doing really good. He is the 2nd counselor in our bishopric and is very busy keeping up with both work and his ward calling.

Kyle is now 14 and an 8th grader at Pleasant Grove Junior High. He enjoys doing many activities, but loves basketball the most. He also enjoys singing in the school choir and is still taking Piano. We were really proud of Kyle this last year for earning his Eagle scout award. He recieved it from his Grandpa who has given this award to all of Kyle's cousins.

Haley is 12 and in 6th grade. She is so excited to go to Junior High next year and has loved being in Young Women's. Haley loves to dance, sing, and also takes piano. She loves hanging out with her friends and going shopping.

Chase is 8 and in 2nd grade. He loves life. Chase is very active and loves to be around his friends. He enjoys playing the WII, the computer, and the DS. He also started Piano lessons this year and is doing really good. Chase was so excited to be baptized last November and had many people there to support him.

Brooklynn is 3 and in her first year of preschool. She is growing so fast. Brooklynn also loves to play with her friends and luckily has many that live right on our street. She has recently discovered all the Disney movies and watches them over and over again. She can play on the interent without any help and loves to go to all her favorite sites. She is also taking dance with her best friend and loves it. She is definitely the baby of the family and hopefully we won't spoil her to much.

As for me I keep busy by taking care of 4 busy kids. I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, and also hanging out with my friends. I still love to travel and have been so lucky to have wonderful parents and in-laws that like to take us places. We have been on 3 cruises and to Disneyland in the last few years. I guess now I also will be trying to find time to Blog.
