The Stewart Family Reunion

This year for our Stewart Family Reunion we went and stayed at Wolf Creek up by Pineview Reservoir. We stayed in a beautiful house big enough for the whole family and the kids loved that there was a pool table and hot tub. We spent time on the lake playing and riding Wave runners. We also went to a performance by the Utah Symphony at one of the ski resorts. We played some fun games as a family and I found out during a trivia game that I know more about my in-laws than I thought. Ron's sister and her family came from Tennessee so we had a great time spending time with their family. My kids love to spend time with their cousins. We did miss Kyle who was on Pioneer trek with our ward, but he had a good experience where he was. I am very thankful to have married into such a wonderful family

What a difference a year makes!

As we were celebrating the 4th of July this year I was thinking back to last year when Brooklynn was burned while doing sparklers. I am so thankful that we had a burn free holiday. I've had many people asking me how the burn is doing so I thought I would include pictures from last year and this year to show how well it is doing. For those of you that didn't know what happened here is the story. Last year on the 5th of July we were doing fireworks with our neighbors and the kids were playing with sparklers. Brooklynn had one in her hand and some how started her shirt on fire. Luckily I was right next to her and saw it immediately. I put her down on the ground to hit the fire out and thank goodness my wonderful neighbor was quick thinking and threw her drink on the fire. It went out very quickly but had already burnt Brook's side. We rushed her over to the emergency room where they gave her morphine so they could clean her burns and wrap them up. We then spent the next month wrapping and cleaning her burns daily. It was very scary but I have always been so grateful that it wasn't worse than it was and that it didn't reach her face.

This is the Place!!

We went to This is the Place State Park on Friday, since Ron had the day off for the 4th. We had such a good time. We hadn't been there since Haley was a baby. They have so many new things to do and see. The kids rode the train and the ponies. We made arrowhead necklaces and stamped leather beehives. We went into one cabin where the lady working there was the granddaughter of the original owners. She had such a sweet spirit about her as she told us about her grandparents and how her father had been born and raised in the home. She also told us about how they found the house and rebuilt it and moved it to the Park. We took pictures in Pioneer clothes and tried on hats. The kids loved the park and we had a great day.

Haley went to her first Girls camp!

Last week Haley went to Moab for Girl's camp. It was very hot and the mosquitos were horrible, but she had a great time. She loved being with all the wonderful girls we have in our ward. They did a little hiking and went river rafting on the Green River. She loved the river rafting the most. Ron was able to go down the last night for testimony meeting and help them clean up.
